In Africa today, the quest for getting rich quick among the youths, even the under eighteen adolescents, has reached the climax and this, in spasmodic turn, warded off the reading spirit from their hearts and dragged it to a quagmire. These youths, due to their covetousness or undue zealousness to compete with the movie stars, music legends, beauty queen, football lords, cover page girls etc. as a result of the social pathology plaguing both the old and the young on the continent totally disorientate the habit of reading. Every youth wants to be worshipped and adored like the ace celebrities crowding up the music, movie and football industries. They become restive and desperate in pursuit of happiness, which can only come as a by-product of self-development.

To worsen the situation, our rich individuals, companies and corporate organisations spend huge amount of money to promote and enthrone satanic activities and encourage evil tendencies among these future leaders of Africa. What foundation are we laying for the coming generation? What message of hope and legacy are we leaving behind? What epistle are we sending to the future to testify to it that the past made some level of laudable contributions to the present?

To reverse this ugly trend in Africa, we developed Don Tummy Tripartite Readership Promotion Projects tagged: Bookish Wealth International, DOTPAR Award Competition and WRITES Africa Project. The purposes of these projects are:
1.         To promote good over evil, decency over immorality and godliness over ungodliness among our youths – the future leaders of Africa.

2.         To encourage sanity among our youths in every nook and cranny of Nigeria by promoting the culture of reading and writing among the African future leaders.

3.         To turn African writers to celebrity, winning big advertisement contracts and becoming the face of multinational companies thereby shifting the attention of our youths to books as the best platform to become a popular figure in the social space.
